College is the best time of your life, no tension, no stress and no pressure. Usually, when you ask somebody in college why they are there, they’ll tell you it’s the best place they have to be. The academic session is almost over and the final year students will soon leave their student’s life behind. To mark this day and to say goodbye, the final year engineering students of Vidarbha Institute of Technology (VIT) had celebrated Sign out day in the campus.
Although farewell parties definitely have a glamorous aura while the sign out days have become even more special with a lot of nostalgia and emotions. Friends are the siblings God never gave us. When one of the final year students sang “Hum Rahe Ya Na Rahe Kal” all got emotional, obviously, hugs and tears followed.
A student of final year said “we had all the time to do anything and everything. Making friends, discussing stupid things and enjoying each bit of life, college life gave us memories that are tough to be left behind. VIT had always given me a strange feeling of happiness and feeling independent. A sense of liberty, maturity, responsibility and above all this, the best was the freedom to take independent decisions and not being kiddo anymore.
Dr.Sanjay S Uttarwar, Principal VIT said that “You can take out students from a college, but never a college from students. He further added that you didn’t need a college degree to become one of the people who knew what was really going on. If you paid attention, you could pick things up on your own.”
Mr.Jitesh.N.Maheshwari (Chairman, VIT), said, “We wish best of luck to all our students”. Dr.Pooja Maheshwari (Secretary, VIT) along with Dr.G.S.Natrajan (Director, VIT) and Dr.Sanjay.S.Uttarwar had appreciated the efforts taken by the team VIT for the betterment of students throughout the year.
January 1st: The coming of the New Year is always a special celebration and is observed by almost every community. Some celebrate the New Year with bells, some do it by observing a moment of silence, and others do it with customs designed to bring good luck in the coming year. Although, there are many differences among the celebrations, they all center on food, family, friends and best wishes for the months ahead.
Last night after saying Goodbye to the ending year the faculty members and students of Vidarbha Institute of Technology gathered in college to have a new year’s celebration with zeal. With the start to any New Year comes time for resolutions, everyone in the party had shared their resolutions for the coming year.
Dr.Sanjay S Uttarwar, Principal VIT said that “We established ourselves as the leader in the field of Education by grabbing the Prime Time Global Education Excellence Award – 2018, and NAAC Accreditation”. He further acknowledges the gathering that “We have successfully established industry standard procedures and policies which will help us all to succeed this year too. For that, we need to work together. It is my New Year resolution and promises to create a healthy environment where we all can strike the balance between work and life. Together we will achieve the best for all”.
Since the chilling air of winter has changed into soothing cold breeze, here comes the spring season known as Vasant in India, one of the six Indian seasons, the 5th day of Hindu month Maagh considered as the first day of spring known as Vasant Panchami. There are diverse traditions followed in different parts of India on Vasant Panchami but few commonly believed rituals are worshipping Saraswati and considering this day as the start of agriculture season, it is also recognized as marriage season. It is strongly believed that Vasant Panchami is a pious day to start any new work.
To mark this day, the Vidarbha Institute of Technology (VIT) celebrated Vasant Panchami today in their campus by doing Saraswati Pooja. Goddess Saraswati is known as the Goddess of Knowledge, Wisdom and Speech is worshipped in educational institutes and organizations on the day of Vasant Panchami. The campus was decorated with items of yellow colour to mark the occasion. Every one paid floral tributes to the Goddess Saraswati. Principal Dr.Sanjay Uttarwar highlighted the importance of the day with his outstanding speech.

The N.S.S Unit of Vidarbha Institute of Technology had organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank, Nagpur. The camp was a huge success and saw active participation from students, faculty and Non-Teaching Staff of VIT
The Vidarbha Institute of Technology had recently organized an industrial visit for students of Electrical Engineering branch in collaboration with 33/11 KV Trimurti Nagar Power sub-station, Nagpur. Around 50 students of the final year along with faculty members had participated in this program.
