One Week Faculty Development Program
As we all know that FDP aims at equipping teacher with skill and knowledge that are essential for including entrepreneurial values in students and monitoring their progress towards a bright career . In Vidarbha Institute of Technology ,Nagpur campus also a one week faculty development program from 12th Dec to 16th Dec 2016 was designed under the kind super vision of Dr. Dheeraj S. Deshmukh (Principal) ,Dr.Shweta P.Deoskar (Convener),and Mr.Sameer Asad Khan (Co-ordinator) .The chief Guest of the function was Dr. G.S.Natarajan , a retired director from LIT,Nagpur.On the very first day it was inauguration session that started with lighting the lamp for “Goddess Saraswati ” and then chief guest expressed his views about FDP. Dr. Dheeraj Deshmukh addressed the audience and vote of thanks was given by Dr.Shweta Deoskar .Each day session used to be continued with different authorities.”Workshop for Teachers ” was conducted by Dr. G.S. Natarajan where valuable input was given to all the participants . “Effective Teaching Learning Process” was positively conducted by Dr.Dheeraj Deshmukh .The session progressed with the marvelous speech of Mr.Anup Rajurkar on “Code of Specific Material regards industry” where he expressed his views on increasing gap between the employer and employee in the lack of proper practical approach.
A special session was on “How to Become an ideal Teacher and Black Board Teaching ” was conducted by Prof.Mahadeo Gaidhane (PCE) where he suggested the key points to become an ideal teacher.Another best session was “Outcome based Education and Accreditation Process (NBA)” by Dr.Rakesh Himte Effective Teaching learning Process ” was introduced by Dr. Leena Patil (PIET) where ICT term was introduced for collecting storing,editing and processing information in various forms.
The FDP session ended up with valuable words of Mr.Lokesh Chawle on “Impact on Effective Teaching Learning Process” he shared the information related to NBA accreditation. In summing up,feedback session were aslo there and each faculty members took active part throughout program.
